On the first Sunday in February, the best teams from the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC) match up on some of the best prepared football fields in America. For 2017, it was the New England Patriots versus the Atlanta Falcons. To honor that game and meet the request of the wounded and disabled warriors, Project Enduring Pride teamed with the FDNY and the Gary Sinise Foundation to host a large gathering with the Montgomery County Fire Service. Some 84 wounded soldiers and more than 20 alumni now living in the area returned to Bethesda to join in with the celebration.
Elvis entertained the crowd and Captain John Woody’s son’s band provided live entertainment.
At the end of the evening, New England secured their 5th win and carried the Super Bowl trophy home to Boston.
